Table Explanation

  • User: The name of the individual holding the subscription.

  • Subscription Price: The total cost of the subscription in dollars.

  • Deletion Date & Time: When the subscription was cancelled, including date and precise time.

  • Expiration Date & Time: The scheduled end date and time of the subscription if it had not been cancelled.

  • Days Between Deletion-Expiration: The calculated time span from deletion to expiration in days, considering milliseconds for accuracy.

  • Subscription Credit Balance: The calculated refund amount based on the unused portion of the subscription, adjusted for the precise number of days the subscription was active in the specified year.

  • Days in Year: Specifies the total number of days in the year of the subscription, noting whether it's a leap year (366 days) or not (365 days).

Description

The Subscription Credit Balance is calculated by dividing the precise number of days between the subscription's deletion and its scheduled expiration by the total days in the subscription year, then multiplying the result by the subscription price. This method provides an equitable refund based on the exact duration the subscription remained active.
